Historical PRESERVATION & economic transformation

The Clotilda Descendants Associationis dedicated to honoring our ancestors; preserving our culture, landmarks, and legacies; and educating future generations of descendants and the community. Our vision is to create a global network of descendants who work together to preserve and continue the legacy of our ancestors.

The Africatown Heritage Preservation Foundation seeks to preserve and document the stories of historical Africatown and create cultural and economic transformation through education and partnerships that benefit the environment and mankind.
ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE

Mobile Environmental Justice Action Coalition’s (MEJAC) mission is to engage and organize with Mobile’s most threatened communities in order to defend the inalienable rights to clean air, water, soil, health, and safety and to take direct action when government fails to do so, ensuring community self-determination.

C.H.E.S.S.(Clean Healthy Educated Safe Sustainable) re-establishes unity in the Deep South, leading projects geared towards beautifying Mobile’s streets and homes, producing quality produce and living standards, and retaining the culture and heritage of a nearly forgotten people.
